Mick Schruyers and Josh Hill Receive Six Nominations at the RailStaff Awards 2023

We’re pleased to share that Advance TRS’s very own Mick Schruyers and Josh Hill have been nominated at the RailStaff Awards 2023.
A relentless pursuit of success for our clients and candidates over the last twelve months has earnt them a total of six nominations (and counting) in this year’s Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Person of the Year category. With commendations from Babcock and VolkerRail representatives among many others, it’s an extraordinary recognition of their commitment to the industry.
The RailStaff Awards celebrate the achievements of the very best rail veterans, from drivers to cleaners, engineers to station attendants. Bringing together some of the largest and most renowned suppliers, providers and organisations, it’s a night of recognition and of paying thanks to those who deliver the UK’s railway.
Unlike others of its kind, the RailStaff Awards let the public have their say. The finalists for each category are whittled down by a vote. So, if you want your opinion to count, this is your chance. Vote here!

Mick Schruyers, Rail Business Development and Infrastructure Director
Mick has recently celebrated his sixth anniversary with Advance TRS. During his time with the business, he has served as Rail Infrastructure Director and Business Development Director. Renowned for his collaborative approach, Mick has nurtured close relationships with clients including Babcock.

Josh Hill, Principal Consultant
Josh joined Advance TRS as a Recruitment Consultant in January 2016. Now a Principal Consultant, he leads our Civils and PWays team, drawing on years of practical experience managing country-wide recruitment.

Of his nomination, Josh said “I’m very flattered to have been recognised at the RailStaff Awards alongside Mick and some other brilliant recruiters. The RailStaff Awards are adjudicated by a panel of industry-leading figures. Judges include the Chair of IOSH Railway Group, Chairwoman of Young Rail Professionals and the Chief People Officer of Transport for London.
