Advance TRS are delighted to welcome experienced recruitment and business development professional Michael Schruyers to the team as Infrastructure Director. Joining Advance TRS with immediate effect, Schruyers is the latest in a succession of industry leaders to join the rapidly growing recruitment company.

Starting out as a consultant in 2000 after a career change, Schruyers quickly worked his way up through the ranks and made a name for himself within the rail recruitment industry. As a specialist Permanent Way and Civils recruiter, he found a niche for himself sourcing and placing Stressing Engineers on some of the UK’s biggest projects.

Schruyers then joined Resourcing Solutions in 2011, focusing his attention on business development, where he helped secure large contracts across the UK. He then became their Rail Director in 2014, helping grow the rail business from £22 million to over £50 million. Here Schruyers worked to build up the rail division, focusing on supplying specialist labour and filling niche requirements in the sector.

“As a goal-oriented person, I found myself in a position where I had accomplished all the goals I had set out for myself,” explains Schruyers. “By joining Advance TRS I feel my experience can really make an impact on the company and Andy’s enthusiasm has re-injected the fun factor into work.”

“I find Andy’s energy, drive and enthusiasm are hard to beat. I am excited to join his team to help and be part of this exciting company’s journey.”

“It was the structure of the senior management team and the incredible assembly of industry experts that have joined Andy over the past few years that pushed me to join Advance TRS. Appointments such as Paul Merton as Operations Director, Paul Dredge leading the Water & Utilities team, Paul Scott as Non-Executive Director and most recently Paul Metcalfe joining as CEO last year that really caught my attention. I am excited to join such an experienced and well-respected team of industry professionals.”

Advance TRS founder and Managing Director Andy Ridout explained “We are excited to welcome Mick to the team and are looking forward to how he can support us in the next phase of our journey,”

“Since establishing the business 6 years ago we have experienced phenomenal levels of growth and expanded into 3 new sectors. This growth has been rooted in exploiting the specific expertise of seasoned industry professionals, doing what they do best with a singular dedication to delivering excellent customer service. Mick is a brilliant addition to the team and we are thrilled to have him on board.”
